MEDIBALL
During the Mediball course participants will be introduced to the phenomena known as Sensory Motor Amnesia (SMA). This is a neural problem
associated with clients who have received some form of injury where the neural loop along the motor neuron no longer functions as it should.. As a result clients suffer altered biomechanics, dysfunctional muscle patterning and long term chronic pain and discomfort.
This course will take the
participant step by step from identification of SMA, caused by disc injury, to palpation skills to identify faulty recruitment patterns in multifidus and Transverse Abdominus.
The participant will then learn how to progress their
client along a descending/ascending scale, depending on ability, to teach them to perform appropriate rehabilative exercises and stretches by using a mediball.
This course is a must for any therapist who is involved with sports and or
remedial massage
